Dragon

Zach had the wonderful idea of getting Noah a fish that he can watch. Since Noah thinks that he is a dragon, we figured Dragon was a good name for it. Dragon's previous habitat was the Walmart Caves. It was a tough battle but we made it out the caves with out too much fighting (if you have ever been shopping with Noah, you know what I am talking about) and I am sure Dragon is much happier here in Noah's lair. He is not the most colorful fish, but a two year old did pick him out! So far Dragon is alive and well, but we will see what happens throughout the week.

Here is close up of Dragon.

Summer came and went, considering it is June 12 and 61 degrees, but there were one or two warm summer days so far. We had to take advantage of it and Noah hit the Slip and Slide. Though he really didn't slip or slide we still had fun!

Ahh, isn't he the cutest little guy ever?

Memorial Day

This Memorial Day weekend we went up to the ranch and had a blast! It was a weekend filled of nature, hikes, rides in the Ranger, and of course, corn on the cob. I think Noah had more excitement than he could stand.

Any trip that starts off in a cowboy hat is destined to be a good one.

Noah was right at home in the Ranger and loved it when Grandpa took him along to do "Ranch Stuff", whatever that is...

Riding the lawn mower was also a highlight.

My cousin Wade came up with his ATV's and of course, Noah had to take his turn.
"Faster Faster"

We went on a couple of hikes, well they were more like nature walks. Noah had to look at EVERYTHING! The saying "Take time to smell the roses" definitely has a new meaning.

Noah was pooped on the way home.
He still had food in his mouth and was it was drooling out of his mouth...

What Memorial Day celebration is complete with out corn on the cob.
No surprise that Noah caught on how to eat it!

Our Wedding

On May 8 Zach and I got married in the Bountiful Temple. The ceremony was awesome and words can not do the day justice. Therefore, I am just going to list some pictures and if you want more detail, I would be glad to share it with you. All I can say is that it was one of the best days of my life! My awesome brother, William, took these pictures for us and he did a fantastic job.

The Happy Couple

This is my family that was able to share the day with us.

This is Zach's family that was able to make it.
He has one more brother that is on a mission.
As you can tell, Noah wasn't up much for taking pictures. He just wanted to run around!

Parents of the bride and groom

This Zach and I with my folks and my grandparents.

These are my lovely sisters and my fantastic mom.

Our entire day was so joyful and everything went off without a hitch. Even the weather cooperated with us! (It was pretty much the only sunny Saturday for the past month!)

Entering the TWOs

Happy Birthday Noah! I can hardly believe that my little man is now 2. What is even harder to believe is that it took me over a month to post about his party.

Noah is my little cowboy and loves horses. For his birthday we had his cousins over and we made stick horses. A horse party would not be complete with out races so the little jockeys made their way out back and raced around on the horses. It was adorable. Noah loves his horse and still talks about "horse race run" and points outside!

Just so you know, Noah is the one with out a shirt on. Don't ask, but for some reason that kid is always running around with clothes...

This was my attempt at a horse cake for Noah. It is not too bad for my first try, but I definitely know that I will never be a baker!

The kid loves cake, no surprise though if you have ever tried to lift him up.

As a special treat, Noah's Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Brooke brought the saddle of John R. Murdock that he rode while in the Mormon Battalion. Noah felt right at home in the saddle. Now every time we go over to their house he sits on the saddle for a very long time!

Um, yeah. He wasn't too happy when the saddle left the party!

All in all it was a great party. Thanks for everyone for attending and for your help!

Really?

Just to vent, I think I am tired of school. No, I am pretty sure of it. Yes, I know that I need to go and finish what I have started about a billion years ago, but come on. Is writing a paper on my personal travel strategy and goals really going to help me succeed in life? Probably not. Actually, if I put half the amount of energy into my paper that I put into griping about it, I would have a darn good paper. But that isn't the point, is it? The point is, some of these silly required classes are just that...SILLY, let alone a waste of my time and money. So props to whoever came up with PRT 3430: A guide to an international life and responsible travel and whoever decided that it should be a gen ed, you have officially taken up too many hours of my life to count. But hey, I have learned one thing: Did you know that you should always lock your door in a hotel? Who knew?

Spring Break 2010

This spring break Noah, Zach, and I hit the road for the Valley of the Sun and had the best week ever. Noah was surprisingly behaved in the car and if you have ever ridden with him in the car you will know what a surprise it was!
He did great!

So if you have ever been to the Phoenix Zoo, you know that it is hot no matter what time of year you go. Well, lucky for us it was actually chilly.
I have been going to that zoo my entire life and it took 28 years for it to finally be a pleasant day!

I don't think Noah got the idea that this is where his milk comes from. Gross!

The true reason for going to Phoenix...SPRING TRAINING. I know, right? Zach is a huge Dodger's fan so we hit up two games. It was really fun and Noah even got some autographs!

Look how happy he is to be out of his car seat.
I guess he didn't care that he and his car seat were soaked.
Oh to be young again!
